South Lake Tahoe Trail Running

I'm sure the locals know this but the trail running in South Lake Tahoe is sweet.  I found a couple of gems this past weekend.  These were perfect rolling trails with no major climbs or descents -- perfect for those of us not in shape.

Too bad I was getting such shitty GPS signal during my runs.  I'm not sure why?  I wasn't in a deep canyon and while the runs were forested they weren't under heavy foliage.

Holy Fog

Went for a sunset run this evening only to experience fog soup.  Legs felt okay given thier lack of use over the past few months.

Inspiration Run

I don't know what I was thinking.  I'm not in great running shape but for some reason I decided to tackle this puppy the other morning. I missed a turn for my standard 3-mile run at Rodeo Beach and decided to explore more of the Miwok trail.  Felt good.  So, I kept truckin -- up nearly 900 feet of vertical.  Ugh.

Fortunately, this was one of the most beautiful days of the winter in the Bay Area -- so I forgot about the pain.  I'll be back on this run when I get in shape.

MB Dot Races

I'm experimenting with posting MotionBased Dot Races directly onto my blog. This will only work for those using Internet Explorer and the Adobe SVG Viewer.

This is my standard quick run (3-miles) from MBHQ.

Getting in the Groove

I'm getting back into running -- mostly to stay in shape for other stuff.  Although, I'm piquing interest in running a small race (something like a 10K).  Right now I'm working on speed over short distances.  My last run was less than an 8:00 min/mile albeit for just 3 miles.  I'd like to stay in that range for longer runs.  Here's my last run:
